This tour brings you to the Queen of the Dolomites, Mount Marmolada (3343 m.), although it won’t take you to the very peak but only to the Refuge Pian dei Fiacconi at 2626 meters, on Marmolada’s northern side, in front of the huge glacier (the last one standing on the Dolomites).

 

You will get there on the historical basket cable car, starting in Fedaia (2057 m) and arriving at the refuge in 15 minutes.

 

The itinerary is certainly gratifying but, considering the altitude, it is of essence that the weather conditions are excellent (we suggest checking the forecast in advance)
